In Orange County, mortgage fee collections dropped from approximately $2.17 million in the first nine months of 2013 compared to the same period a year earlier to $1.16 million, for a decline of 46 percent. In Dutchess County, the county's mortgage tax revenue declined from $4,773,163 to $4,183,875 for the same period, a 12 percent difference.
