North Bellmore man killed in Taconic crash, cops say

A North Bellmore man died at the scene of a Taconic State Parkway accident after he lost control of his car on the slick roads and struck a tree, state police said Wednesday. Alan E. Stein, 60, sustained severe head trauma and was discovered just before 6:20 p.m. Sunday inside his Mazda Miata, found overturned in the passing lane of the parkway in Milan, Dutchess County, police said.
