Woman, 5-year-old grandson in hospital after 3-vehicle crash

State police say a Hudson Valley woman and her 5-year-old grandson are in a Westchester hospital after they were injured in a three-vehicle crash. Troopers say 68-year-old Beverly Farwell of Poughkeepsie was traveling on a road in the Dutchess County town of Wappinger around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday when for an unknown reason she crossed into oncoming traffic and sideswiped a sport utility vehicle.
