NY buys half-acre parcel next to Hudson Walkway state park

The state has purchased a half-acre parcel next to the Walkway Over the Hudson State Park and will look into potential uses for the site. The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation says it bought the property next to the Poughkeepsie entrance of the Walkway from the Open Space Institute for $550,000 with funds from the state's Environmental Protection Fund.
