Republicans have pulled ahead of three upstate incumbent Democratic state senators - a sign the GOP is closer to taking control of the fractured Legislature's 63-member upper house, a new poll showed Monday. The Siena College poll notes that all three Democrats were elected in 2012 riding the coattails of President Obama - but now trail their GOP challengers by double-digit margins.
