The crash on Route 6 Nov. 19 that sent seven people, including two children, to the hospital, involved a family from Carmel and a family from Amenia in Dutchess County, said Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith. The driver of the Toyota sedan, who tried to turn left onto northbound Route 22, was Samuel Valasquez Giron, 40, of Amenia.
